I'm convinced Ros is a time-traveling student working on her History PhD. Pursuant to this she is interviewing every major player about their political motivations under her cover as prostitute.
I figure she must have a colleague in Essos covering that end of things. My money would be on Dani's girl who's always saying that everything is known.

Nah, once she got sealed in the vault, she traveled back to her own time. Poor XXD died very, very confused.

It also makes her last conversation with Theon reminiscent of Jeff Daniels' advice to JGL in Looper.

"I probably will, but I was thinking of coming back..."
"I'M FROM THE FUTURE: STAY AWAY FROM WINTERFELL."
