2008 fanfic survey from [personal profile] karadin

Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted?
A lot less in the first three quarters, quite a bit more in the last quarter.

What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in 2007?
Final Fantasy VII & VIII. Yuu Yuu Hakusho.

What's your favorite story of the year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you happiest?
One Last Dance (FFVIII), in which Rinoa gracefully bows out. Sins of the Fathers (FFVIII) remain unfinished on my hard drive, or it would be a contender as well (because I'm one sick puppy like that).

Did you take any writing risks this year?
I wrote explicit (ok not *that* explicit) sex in Kissing in the Dark (FFVIII).
I also attempted a semi-de-deitified (is that even a word?) Yondaime in The Day of Ceasing (Naruto).

Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the New Year?
Finish up my Naruto WIPs and other various WIPs (the Mitsuhide/Kicho one comes to mind).
Write a lot more Final Fantasy stuff! ^_^

Most Fun:
I had great fun writing One Last Dance. Sight (Yuu Yuu Hakusho) also took a load off my mind.

Most Disappointing:
A toss up between Unbeliever (Formula 1) and Kataphileo (World of Warcraft). Both just came out wrong.
Also, did not get to seriously write any Uchiha+Kakashi Naruto stuff or Ryouma/Kirikaze from Fuuma no Kojiro. (/sadpanda)

Sexiest Story:
Uh. Habits (FFVII)?

Sexiest Moment:
Since Morning Light (FFVII) was never released...I'd have to go with Genesis staring at Sephiroth's throat wanting to bite in Habits.

Story Most Underappreciated by the Universe:
Ghost of a Memory (Black Blood Brothers). Obscure fandom, can't be helped.

The Most Frightening Thing:
The number of my WIPs keeps increasing. I'm pretty sure that's not how things are supposed to go.

Hardest to Write:
The Day of Ceasing. I'm still writing the damn thing! The second half just WOULD NOT COME.

Most Unintentionally Telling:
Adoration (FFVII) contains way too many deja vus from my teaching days.
