Files No.010: Stolen Kisses Require an Accomplice (Star Trek XI, Kirk/Spock family series)
1. The ficlet is based on the premise that K&S have a pair of biological sons. Don't ask me to explain it. I will cite alien stuff. It's not mpreg though.
2. This will probably be a series of drabbles, ficlets, and if I'm ever studious enough, fics. For a list of the parts written so far, see File 001.
3. Word count 365. This one is written for
ariadnechan, because it's my version of a hug. :)

When Spock raised his head up from the PADD, he was quite sure those were tears he saw glinting in his son's eyes. However, he made no comment alluding to the fact.
He only said, "You look upset."
Romy was actually biting his lower lip, never a good sign. Whatever it was, he apparently decided to come face the music without Sivak. That was odd in itself, since Romy always dragged his twin brother around everywhere with him "for emotional security", as Kirk put it.
"Where is Sivak?"
"I don't know!" Romy answered a little too forcefully and too quickly for Spock to believe him. There was no bruise on the child's face and arms, however, and Spock internally ruled out the possibility of a sibling brawl.
"I see."
The silence demanded explanations on its own. Spock was good at having people answering questions he hadn't even asked. It was an art that neither of the boys mastered as of yet. Soon enough Romy began to fidget, as if searching for the right words. Those blue eyes, Spock noted, would not meet his.
"I....um...."
Spock waited.
"Somebody......kissed me."
Spock waited some more. When apparently no more explanation was forthcoming, he leaned forward and put a hand on his son's shoulder. Romy squirmed but did not turn away.
"And?"
"Iit was just on the lips, I swear! Not with the hands, either! None of that stuff you do with Jim!" Romy sounded like he was about to go into shock. "But II've neveryou know......I......"
Spock considered the implication from the fragmented words.
"It was your first time?"
A small, miserable nod.
"If it means any comfort to you, your Father used to kiss you and Sivak on the lips quite frequently. Technically, you lost your first kiss at the age of approximately one Terran month."
Romy's head snapped up at attention at that, like a fish finally taking the bait.
"Dad did that? Really?"
"Affirmative." In fact, in public, too.
"But...I mean, it's okay for people in the same family to kiss like that?"
"Not according to Dr. McCoy, but I believe he only objected in terms of your Father being narcissistic by kissing Sivak."
