Was in Canada over the weekend. Watched Women’s Mogul competition on Canadian TV. Hannah Kearney’s dramatic win was awesome. I really wanted Aiko Uemura to medal, but Shannon Barkhe glowed with such an infectious joy that I couldn’t help but feel happy for her. Jenn Heil had great class, even when the Canadian reporter lady basically hounded her with the question “so how does it feel to not win gold when your whole country is counting on you. ”
And Apolo Ohno’s silver medal in the 1500m? Unbelievable. The South Koreans were obviously strong, but they got a taste of their own aggressive style. And J.R. Celski!
