fatimaGot into Tel Aviv last night by way of Frankfurt/Mainz. Caught the carnival while I was there. Rosenmontag FTW! (Basically, the last hurrah of the carnival season.) It really was quite something to behold.
Security is, of course, to the max here in Israel. I'm pretty sure I'm on some sort of grey list because 1) I've been to Egypt & Morocco before and 2) I'm a single female traveler (they are known to be used for terrorist purposes by their SOs, apparently). It's quite impressive though if you don't take it personally (and I don't).
My flight to Eilat is boarding! Hopefully I'll get to Jordan and Wadi Rum with minimum trouble.
