fatima: (the look)
Summer course is done. I just about died.

The Guy has become obsessed with the program Man vs. Food so he is trying to drag me to try all those places mentioned on the show. -_- Went to Brick Lane Curry House today for their supposedly extremely hot curries. Ordered the lamb vindaloo, which is 2nd hottest from the menu (and the waiter gave me the "uh just so you know" speech). But alas, being a Chongqing girl, I was practically baptized in spice, so I was quite unimpressed as far as the hot factor went. Well, at least the mango lassi was good.

In other news, I'm having lunch this Saturday with [livejournal.com profile] buoy and [livejournal.com profile] no_detective. Hopefully I'll remember to bring my Star Trek magazines because they have the yummy movie costume sketches. St. Patrick's Cathedral is also on the menu (I actually hopped in today with the Guy in toll in the middle of a mass...the last time I went was with [livejournal.com profile] iris242x and a certain individual who did something which shall remain unstated XD).

And I must rec THIS K+S FANART by [livejournal.com profile] juneinblue which I call "Kirk and Spock go to Seaworld". IT IS SO MUCH AWESOME, JUST LIKE THE VULCAN NERVE PINCH!

....Ever since discovering Star Trek, I have developed a tendency to TYPE LIKE THIS.
I think it's because ST is JUST THAT GOOD.
Srsly.

There is another piece fanart that I really liked recently. It's an Arthur/Merlin one called "Lilies for My King" by [livejournal.com profile] shiyasim. (It's actually hosted on DW. Hm. I have a DW account but think I'm just too lazy to change, at this point...unless LJ screws things up really, really bad.)

Oh and an update about Transfiguration.

WTB our beta back. Hope she is okay. :(

In brighter news: The writing is at 20k, the first R-rated scene is pretty much done, AND we finally figured out how are they doing it for the first time! (Poor Spock. Poor, poor Spock....)

Also finally getting into Kirk's side of the angst bonanza. It's kind of...easier to write than Spock's, at least for me. Sure they both repress it, but they do it in different ways. Spock's post-coital angst will be a bitch to write, I suspect. Maybe it's time to hit the libraries up again?
