K/S lurve. CNN gets it.
Sep. 5th, 2009 07:17 pm1. A repost from
kirkspock: Was innocently browsing CNN when I was hit with this story:

I may have added the pink heart on my own.
2. Completely unrelated: Is it too much to ask for people who are doing recs to label the pairings of the fic, when it's not readily apparent in the summary? Just, ugh.
3. Read Jeff Lindsay's Darkly Dreaming Dexter. It's entertaining enough, although differing quite a bit from the Showtime series. The book is definitely darker. It may be that I like the TV adaptation more because I watched the TV first, but I think the TV version...has more warmth and human attachment to it. Also although I don't particularly care for Rita in either version, LaGuerta is so much better (and likeable) on TVshe has very few redeeming qualities in the book. Deb also feels underdeveloped in this particular installment.
Not to say the TV version is better than the book, but it makes for a happier story. Although I do wish Dex's brother wasn't killed in the TV. I really liked him, insofar as people can really like psychotic serial killers. And while we are on that subject, the Brian/Dexter relationship has so much slash potential in the book. -_-
4. Going to see Star Trek XI in IMAX with
dissociate and The Guy tonight. HUZZAH! (Although Fandango, I hate you.)
