The Huff's review pretty much says everything I want to say about this production, so I'll just say this:

Five stars to the angels, the amazing Charlie Sutton in particular. Plenty fun to be had throughout the show. Buuuut I really felt there were some intrinsic problems with the plot. It wanted to be (or at least wanted to pretend to be) a musical with a soul, but all it managed to be was inoffensive and politically correct. And the music...I don't know how THAT won a Tony, seriously. =_= And I had such high expectations, sadly.
