Thoughts:
1. Really, really enjoyable show with an engrossing story. Light and witty, kind of like Chicago in its humor but far less dark. Characters can be caricature-ish but still hold up.
2. The staging was pleasing. The use of lights was great.
3. The singing was adequate and at times even vigorous, though as a whole unremarkable. There was consistency, but no real "wow" factor except perhaps for Ms. Hemingway's solo "Happy to Keep His Dinner Warm."
4. The music, I felt, provided more rhythm than melody. Still there was a general feeling of catchiness, and there was no boring song (great choreography certainly helped!). I particularly enjoyed "The Company Way" and "A Secretary is Not a Toy."
5. The performance was wonderful. Larroquette and Radcliffe had sparkling chemistry, especially in "Grand Old Ivy." Radcliffe did not disappoint. He exuded such a youthful affability and charm that you couldn't help but root for him, even though he was essentially the Roxie Hart (a la Chicago) of this story.
6. "Brotherhood of Man" brought the house down. Several times. Even before the song was finished. You could really see Radcliffe and co giving this number all they had got, and that was a good feeling.
7. All the cast were greeted enthusiastically at curtain call. When Daniel Radcliffe came out, though, there was screaming. It was then that I was again reminded that he was, indeed, Harry Potter. During the show, though, I quickly got over his slight accent and from then on only saw Pierrepont Finch.
To sum it up: Comparatively light on singing (for a Broadway musical) but great story and truly energetic performance. The Boy Is Indeed The Chosen One. I had a blast!
