love is always the hardest word
Jun. 11th, 2009 01:11 pmCurrently I am trying to decide if I should participate in
trek_exchange (which, btw, is definitely an awesome idea in and of itself). However, when it comes to actual relationship fics, I have found that it's difficult for me to write for somebody else's vision. I can also be hard to please in some circumstances (I think a lot of people can attest to that >_>).
Besides, it asks me to list 3 pairings I can write for and I'm like...uh...Kirk/Spock and Spock/Kirk don't count as two pairings right? Because the only other I can write for is Sarek/Amanda. I like both Sulu and Chekov a lot in XI, but I just don't feel the chemistry of them together.
Still, it's nice to be back on the English-language side of things. Like a prodigal child, I return marked by my long sojourns and find that some things changed while some things stay the same. But...it's nice. It's home.
In other news:
I know for sure now. It's falling in love all over again. Head over heel, don't-know-what-hit-me kind of love. It's bloody glorious and it also bloody hurts.
What have you two done to me. What has this fandom done to me. /headdesk
In the end, I think, I am interested in love and all of its incarnations. And not in the way they talk it all out in, say, The Symposium.
Oh, and this thing from
hihielmo, aka "Yes, that is a picture of Chris Pine with a lip ring"?

It really is not helping.
