Tokyo, Tokyo
Jan. 17th, 2010 11:13 amTokyo is...same old, except with some difference. They have mostly banned public smoking now, which makes me want to sing hallelujah. Some shops I like have closed or relocated, though. Heading to Kansai tomorrow on Shinkansen.
The cold is still here. It got really bad yesterday, so I didn't get to go to Odaiba...and no Kamakura for me today, either. My roommate Caryn, whom I just met when I got to Tokyo, took care of me when I came back around 11PM and crashed. (Yay for nice people and my ability to meet them!) Aside from a short trip to (central) Tokyo and Ikebukuro, I plan to stay mostly indoor today.
A quick report about doujinshi: Hetalia/Gintama are probably the hottest stuff right now. The Naruto portion shrunk significantly, as did One Piece. I am not too sad about the former, but the latter makes me want to cry. Especially because I watched the newest OP movie Strong World with
alexwish2005 and Aki, and it was just awesome. (OMG LUFFY! ZORO! CHOPPER!)
I found a DS9 doujin about Julian Bashir for
dissociate, but there was NO Star Trek doujin to be found ANYWHERE. I raged and raged about that, until
alexwish2005 presented me with two GREAT little XI K/S books AS IF BY MAGIC. Oh Spock. OH SPOCK. :DDDDDDD
Oh and, Mandarake actually had a small section on Supernatural. Except...95% of it was Sam/Dean. 4% was Dean/Sam, and the last percentage? John/Dean. I was very sad. Very, very, sad. It was like, "GET ON WITH THE PROGRAM, GIRLS"....we are on Season 5 now!!
Last but not the least...
eldariel translated my tribble fic into Russian! :DDDD I'm quite elated to see there are Russian K/S fans who like it, too.

If you scroll down you can see a fanart done by a Ms. Ayumi Lemura. It's really very, very cute. <3 So yay, thank you,
eldariel and the Russian K/S fans, for giving me that fuzzy feeling when my head is spinning from a cold!
