dissociate: Castiel's like the runt of the angel litter, but whereas runts in real life often develop behavioral issues to compensate he just stays sweet and innocent while all the other angels grow big and become dicks.snowlight: hahahaha yes exactly. I think Michael sent Castiel back to the brothers
because the brothers are obviously surprised to see Castiel (they have that angel ward remember, and castiel can't find them)
In this case, I think it's clear that both parties are surprised to see each other, so that leaves only Michael, b/c Michael is the only angel who knows where the brothers are, since he sent them there himself.

Date: 2010-02-07 10:58 pm (UTC)Although this does make me question Michael's pronouncement about Free Will. I mean, Zachariah did show Dean a future where Dean never said yes, right? So...Free Will did exist (for better or worse) in that timeline. Either Zachariah is screwing with Dean, or Michael is (or both of them, quite possibly).
But then again, plot holes in SPN? What?

Who's to say that Zach didn't just create a place to throw Dean?
