There is a private joke (?) between dissociate and I regarding the Donna Green illustration version of The Velveteen Rabbit: Namely, that it could be turned into a K/S tale where Kirk is the rabbit (and scarlet fever is pon farr, but I digress).

Because? The velveteen rabbit is cute, adoring, not to mention…FAT AND BUNCHY.

I don't even know how it started, I think it was in the st_xi_kink, but there was this whole thing where Chekov was Russia's Pikachu... there was art and everything! spaggel and taconaco, for sure.
