1. Chinglish by David Henry Hwang is coming to Broadway! I am excited!

2. I need to get my hands on cannedebonbon's commission stuff. I DO. Her chibis are unbelievably cute. >_< Hopefully I can find a paypal account.... (Fingers crossed.) I want one piece for my priest, and another...well, it's a secret. :P

3. I am probably going to experiment with making real curry (instead of curry udon). We will see how that goes. Until then, though, hot pot tonight. :D

4. I want to re-read Discworld books again. Why can't Snuff come out already? T_T (Speaking of books I owe NYPL fees again. Crap.) And so did you ever get to read Night Watch, dissociate?

5. It's probably bad that the one Thor/Loki fic I want to write the most is also...all kinds of angst. I think I'm afraid to write it because I might make Thor OOC. (But I want to write it! The epic and tragic love of it all!)

6. Sometimes I can't help but feel that politics is such an ugly, ugly topic of conversation. Reality and ideals just don't play together very well. Maybe one day I will write about it at length in connection to my Mycroft obsession, but I doubt it.

I didn't actually read it! I suck! I got the book and everything but ran out of time before I had to return it. I'm going to try to find an audiobook of it to listen to at work.

What's the plot? I want to hear! Is there a lot of porn in it? There better be a lot of porn in it, just saying'...

Apropos of nothing but after the News of the World scandal, I kept thinking that if Mycroft were involved in any way no one would have heard of it because he'd have taken care of everything. XD

As for the the Thor/Loki plot, well...it's really....just about how Thor keeps finding Loki after every reincarnation (a la current comic style), but no matter what approach he tries, it never works out between them two, and in every reincarnation he is forced to kill Loki (or Loki dies without his help just to spite him). In a way it's kinda like how Erik and Charles's relationship is? In that epic love cannot bridge separate paths in the end?

And...the story (plot?) opens in the present day, with Thor finding the newest reincarnation of Loki, who is very sweet (a la Tom Hiddleston) with no memory of his origin. This Loki falls for Thor, who approaches him like he did with all the previous reincarnations. In the past Thor had always worked to waken Loki, but this time he suddenly finds himself conflicted—he still wishes for another chance to reunite with Loki and "do it right this time", but at the same time he is tempted by the idea of a Loki (at least, somebody who looks identical to Loki) who is trusting and open towards him.

So...yeah, that's kinda it. In a nutshell. Maybe they had a one night stand a la Before Sunrise? I dunno. There is like no porn potential in this thing either way, I'm afraid.

Ooh this sounds very interesting! I hope you go for it! And sweet!Tom Hiddleston-like!Loki sounds like a really intriguing idea. But it sounds from your description that you don't foresee a happy ending per se for them? :(

And if there's a more apropos description for Erik/Charles than "epic love that cannot bridge their separate paths in the end", I've never heard it. XD

I am not thinking about ending for this Loki so much. It's more about Thor's realization (rightly or not) that he's never, ever going to have Loki the way he wants it. (Because...Loki is just...bad at relationships? I dunno.) And like I said, I don't know if that's going to be so OOC or not. Sigh.

But yeah, Hiddleston!Loki...my mouth waters.

Oh, yes. Haha. I associate that kind of hot pot with restaurants and such, so I completely forgot about it! When I'm at home, usually we rely on a dipping sauce for added flavor, so we don't add flavorings to the liquid. (Thus the confusion)
