Paris is more or less as I remember it. Fashionable. Tasty bread. Gilded glamor. Artists by the bridges (I bought my mom a little Louvre watercolor sketch). Montemare—still amazing. Oh plus smokers everywhere and some subway metro stations smelling like latrines...

Went to Musee d'Orsay the other day. I missed it the last time I went to Paris with asukajude. Reconfirmed my opinion that POINTILLISM IS AWESOME. Became interested in symbolism. And discovered Gustave Doré.

Heading to Andalusia tomorrow. Really excited about that.

Oh and it's official: I am getting out from this picturesque lily-white town and moving to a place where I can get decent Asian food. (No, it's not Flushing.) I expect that I'll become familiar with the A train soon. (Little by little, I am getting convert to the West side...to think that I used to live on UES, too.)

May be going back to school, too. So the to-do list is fairly long (again)...

对了，你知不知道有没什么途径可以在8月1－22日在纽约租个房的？原定租给我们的朋友跟她爹娘吵架总之很坑爹地不能去了（一言难尽⋯⋯）所以现在求个在纽约观光期间的房⋯⋯

我不太清楚美帝的行情啊…一般来说短租房是多少？一个月1000美元？能够住得比较自由、离市中心远一点不要紧只要离车站近且安全就OK了。
